Hosting your wedding outdoors may seem like a brave move for some but it’s a totally stunning way to spend one of the most important and memorable days of your life. It also offers you the opportunity to add a host of amazing décor and design ideas that are both easy, and cost-effective to incorporate in the bigger design of your wedding.
An outdoor wedding can be hosted anywhere; on the beach, in a vineyard, a massive estate garden, or just in your back yard. Really, there’s no one thing that sets an outdoor wedding apart from every other theme except for the fact that it is hosted in part, or in full, outdoors, usually has stunning foliage accessories, design and décor elements, and is filled with sunlight which is superb for taking pics. Natural light also helps your guests capture amazing images with their cellphones/cameras that won’t disappoint.
I covered the green wedding theme some time ago. For those of you who haven’t seen the post yet or heard of a green wedding theme, it’s absolutely stunning. Among my personal favorites are the combination of strong foliage components set against the stark white of an elegant wedding. Some green weddings are hosted outdoors, others are hosted indoors with foliage being the main theme. For an outdoor wedding it’s somewhat the other way around with weddings being hosted outdoors but in such a variety that they range from the charming rustic DIY wedding to the totally tropical beach-themed event.
I have also seen some of the most elegant weddings hosted outdoors with all the stops pulled out from the bride to the confetti. We all love a little bit of elegance and whether understated elegance is your thing, or you prefer absolute extravagance, the Rhinestone Stretch Loop Napkin Ring is perfect. Its simplicity means that you can add it to your table design and use it as a bit of bling here and there, or you can make it the sophisticated focus point of your table settings. And they make great gifts for the ladies at the table to take home with them as a pretty memory of the day.
While many brides choose to host the ceremony and reception indoors with photographs being taken outdoors, there are some absolutely breathtaking ideas that make an all-outdoor wedding an option not to skip over if you’re planning a wedding this year. There’s no wrong or right. Only what looks good to you and what makes you as a bride and as a couple feel 100% special on possibly the biggest day of your life. We sometimes get so lost in the planning of a wedding and making sure that all the elements are just perfect that we forget it’s really all about how it makes us feel. An outdoor wedding can certainly make one feel wonderfully whimsical with fairy lights, stunning DIY walkways, hidden gems (like a cute pathway leading to a secret garden) and so much more.
