Marisa Manna Ferrell, the owner of So Eventful, chatted with me about her business, the work they do and the future plans for her company. I am so excited to be featuring their work on the blog and I have no doubt that you will enjoy the post as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
So Eventful, a full-service planning company, offers its clients an experience and not just a service. The company’s mission is to provide its clients with a seamless experience where the clients themselves feel like guests at their own event and can enjoy the day worry-free with the peace of mind that details, small to big, are well taken care of.
The company boasts a large team of planners, each with their own unique background and skill-set, as well as staff members who help to ensure that every event is executed professionally with attention to the clients’ special needs and wishes. Each client is assigned an individual planner, however, staff work together and share resources and information. The team relies on each of its members to assist when needed or help out in an emergency in order to ensure that the client experience is exceptional.
"Although a planner is assigned to an individual client we back each other up."
Marisa, who was originally an executive assistant for a winemaker at a winery, saw an opportunity when the events manager left the company and requested to plan a wedding to be held on the property. The wedding ran smoothly and Marisa filled the post of event manager at the same company. So Eventful was born as a side project and as it grew, Marisa made it her full-time career, pouring all her time and passion into the business. In 2015, the company grew to such a point that she was required to expand her staffing and her husband left his corporate job to join the team full-time.
Some of their proudest moments in the business have been the exponential growth of the company; the growth of the So Eventful Productions with the addition of corporate and social events; the launch of their new website; and the yearly growth in revenue. They have a long list of happy clients and a portfolio to brag about to top their achievements.
One of the things that immediately stood out to me when browsing the So Eventful gallery is the large variety of events that the company covers. They do have a signature look but each event is so incredibly different and it’s easy to see the client’s voice in each project. Their passion for creating spectacular events is evident and it’s clear why So Eventful has enjoyed the growth spurt that it has over the last few years.
"We never forget that it's your wedding/event and no two events should be the same."
I asked Marisa what her favorite trend for the year is and right now, she’s enjoying marble patterns as well as dark and warm tones. I am loving those too. I’ve seen some amazing examples on her website of the dark and warm tones that she’s incorporated into her events. One of the styled photo shoots that she’s showcased on her website, love amongst the vines, is a perfect example and so beautiful. So Eventful’s occasions are well-balanced and well-designed with a little bit of everything. I personally love how each event has a special undertone to it that runs throughout the concept and gives the setting life and dimension.
The team at So Eventful offer a full range of special event and wedding planning. Their duties include planning, organizing and coordinating, as well as promoting the events that they plan. Their passion for their clients and the work that they do drive them to offer each client a beautiful final project.
