Randi Fracassi, the Lead Event Planner & Stylist for Poppy Lane Events, is breath of fresh air. In an industry inundated with immense talent, Randi has managed to carve her own spot by being 100% authentic. Her eye for detail and her portfolio speaks for itself with its dreamy deep romantic storylines. I am so pleased to be showcasing her work and her business on the blog today.

Poppy Lane Events is the product of a moment seized at the right time. Randi’s first taste of event planning was in high school when she helped plan prom for the year ahead of hers. It was the start of a fairytale love story with event planning and Randi learned that she thoroughly enjoyed bringing creative ideas to life and the benefit of seeing how people enjoyed it. During her college years, she never let go of her passion for planning events, continuing to organize social events, also landing a part-time job at a local bridal dress boutique. She was able to garner valuable experience with an internship alongside a planner at the bridal dress boutique. The experience helped her hone her craft and find her creative voice within the industry. When the planner decided to leave the company, Randi took the leap of faith and started Poppy Lane Events.

Having moved to Louisiana from Michigan to enjoy and learn more about Southern Hospitality, Randi infuses her style and her work with the same focus. Poppy Lane Events focuses on creating family-centered gatherings that are timeless and heartwarming. Her projects extend beyond weddings as Randi takes on showers and other special events as well. As she says:

“If there is a focus on celebrating, we can plan it!”

This is a prime focus for Poppy Lane Events as Randi carefully explains that weddings are about more than pretty tablescapes and an extraordinary cake. It’s about celebrating a new chapter of your life, the journey that it took to get there and the journey you will be taking after that moment as well as the beautiful vow you make to be by that person’s side. It’s clear that these are values populate Randi’s planning process and make it into the details in her concepts.

It’s also a notion that filters through to the background parts of the event planning. Randi puts emphasis on the importance of the relationship with her clients and enjoys the highs and lows with them. She is there for the struggles as well as the successes and ensures that her clients can rely on her at every stage of planning. A fine eye for detail, Randi’s conceptualization is on point. She materializes stunning ideas and the small and intimate details are the thread that holds the design together.

Poppy Lane Event’s service list includes event coordination, event planning, and styling and decorating. The company also offers a la carte option that allows for more customizability.

Randi’s proudest moment was with her very first client when she visited her the day after the wedding. The client hugged her and expressed her gratitude, saying that the day just couldn’t have happened without Randi managing it and ensuring that her guests were happy and entertained. There were, of course, slip ups but the happy bride could enjoy her day with her new spouse free of worry and stress.

Randi’s wedding trend crushes at the moment are simple tablescapes, long tables with intimate and cozy settings using garlands and candles. The string lights and Edison bulbs also made it onto her list of trends to covet this year.
