If you’re looking for a new, exciting and absolutely gorgeous bling DIY, then I have just the thing for you. This fantastic one-of-a-kind mirrored jewel table runner DIY designed and put together by StyleMyyKurvz Kira (referred to as Kira from this point forward) has just the right amount of glamor and it looks like it’s a whole lot of fun to create.
Using simple and cost-effective items, Kira has put together a unique DIY that’s pretty versatile. This stunning table runner isn’t only suited to Spring entertaining but it can be used all year round, on large tables or on small tables, and with any assortment of your favorite rhinestone pieces.
Kira shares the DIY with us step by step, taking us through the product list first. For this video, she made use of a selection of rhinestone slider buckles and buttons which she converted into flat backs by simply popping off the back of the rhinestone piece. You don’t have to do this, as you could purchase flat backs too, however, as Kira explains, it’s really easy to get the backings off with a pair of wire cutters. This simply allows for a more varied selection as you’re not limited to what you can choose to use.
For the DIY you will need a piece of cardboard; 3 mirrors, bought from the dollar tree; a hot glue gun and an assortment of rhinestone bling. Kira has made use of the silver flower wedding buttons; diamante bar buckle slider; elegant round diamante flat back; square crystal buckle slide; and the rhinestone mesh
You’ll notice that the mirrors bought from the Dollar tree have frames, keep in mind that you will not need the frame, only the mirror insert, so if you can find mirrors without frames, it will save you a little bit of time and possibly a small amount of money too.
Considering how stunning the end product is, it would be easy to think that it’s an advanced DIY but it’s rather simple to put together and completely open for those personal creative touches. You could use any combination of rhinestone pieces and even add a few other extras that you’d like to see on this runner. It’s a great idea to lay the pieces out as Kira did before committing to the design with glue. This way you could see if it will work with the other tableware elements you have planned for your special centerpiece that will include this mirror table runner.
StyleMyyKurvz Kira also shared a bling floral vase centerpiece DIY with us, another DIY she has made using some of our products. These beautiful bling vases are great for home décor as well as event décor and can be decorated in any number of ways using a selection of bling. Kira covered her vases with a selection of 3 to four different bling pieces placed at random to achieve the look she wanted. You could also cover your vases in patterned bling arrangements. Perhaps make a pearl vase or a gold vase? Get creative with the styles of your vases.
Both DIYs are quick, easy and affordable. They’re great as gifts, to pass the time creating something special or to use for events and around the home. This DIY was decorated using the floral rhinestone flat back; and the products mentioned in the bling mirror DIY.
