Beautiful bling wedding inspiration to add sparkle to your world
We've hit 2017 with our feet running it seems. It feels like this year is going to fly by just as quickly as 2016 did. I love the start of each new year. I really do feel as if it's a clean start. I can let go of the things that were negative and look forward to new and positive developments in my life and the lives of those around me. We can expect to see new trends and new ideas hitting the market this year, as they do every year but one thing will always stay the same - our love for sparkle.

So, for the first article of the year, I thought it would be fitting to write about a diamond (or bling) themed wedding. This is about as sparkly as it gets! Hosting a bling themed wedding is probably a bit broader than a diamond themed wedding. The term "diamonds " is pretty specific, whereas bling covers a whole variety of sparkle.
Different types of bling include the use of glitter, crystals, rhinestones, gemstones and metallics. The best part is that you can go all out on the shine without breaking the bank while still having a hand in the process and planning.
Every time I head on to Pinterest for some bling wedding inspiration, I'm drawn to the glitter diys. These diys are super easy to pull off and look absolutely stunning. Some of the other great bling ideas for weddings include rhinestone embellished tableware and decor pieces, like the mesh wrap candles shown above. Candles are not the only items that look fantastic with a bit of bling wrap.
Candles are not the only items that look fantastic with a bit of bling wrap. Wedding bouquet bands, napkins and napkin rings, table runners like the easiest DIY yet and a table runner embellishment, chair decorations, wedding invitations and a whole range of decor details can really benefit from a row or two of the rhinestone mesh wrap.
Crystals are also a great addition to a bling wedding as they add so much shine to a decor and they're a lot of fun to work with. These little design details are very often used for the finer pieces like cake toppers, finely detailed shoe patterns, table numbers or frames, and wedding stationery. creating with crystals can be fine work but it pays off when the end product is finished.
The double diamante circle buckle (pictured above) is so versatile and beautifully elegant. I featured this embellishment as it fits in with a variety of looks and can also be used for a great number of projects. I love how they look used together with ribbon to create a glamorous napkin ring or as decor for candle holders and menu place settings.
What does your ideal bling wedding look like? Are you a diamonds exclusively kind of girl? Do you prefer glitter and rhinestones? Are crystals of all sizes your thing? I love them all!
