A Great Gatsby wedding theme is, without a doubt, about the glamor of Hollywood and the fashionable twenties. This stunning combination of glitz and glam with strong Art Deco elements makes a bold statement that looks totally amazing.
Sequined flapper style dresses, Art Deco cakes, elaborate sparkling headpieces, and grand white feathers everywhere makes the Great Gatsby theme an extravagant way to spend the day with your loved ones celebrating your wedding. Don’t forget about the bling. There is PLENTY of bling to go around in this theme from the glitter lined table settings to the gold foil wedding invitations – there’s definitely no shortage of shine here. I love the idea of pairing the Crystal Wedding Napkin Ring with a dark napkin to add drama and passion to the table setting.
If you saw the Great Gatsby movie, and fell in love with the intensity of the romance between Daisy Buchanan and Jay Gatsby, then you’re likely already familiar with the rich party atmosphere a Gatsby wedding has. It’s intense, it’s extravagant, it’s over the top and vibrant, and it has just enough mystery to keep everyone on their toes.
I love the details that combine to make this theme shine. If you’re looking to add just a hint of Great Gatsby flair to your wedding without completely committing to the intensity of it, consider using a Gold, Black, and white color combination. I’m always drawn to the smoky feather-filled images on Pinterest when I’m looking for inspiration for this theme and every now and then I find the occasional color or style variation that looks amazing and unique, made to the couple’s liking.
So go on and have a blast putting together your Gatsby wedding.
