Today's Expert: Andrea Davis from Entyse Lyfe Weddings and Events

Andrea Davis, Creative Director and Event Expert shares her insight with us

I’ve got the absolute pleasure of introducing our readers to Andrea Davis and her award-winning wedding and event business, Entyse Lyfe. Andrea’s business is exceptional and offers peace-of-mind to the couples and clients that make use of their services to plan big events.

One of the first things that stood out to me in this interview is that Andrea’s story behind her career choice is a lot like a fairytale match, not unlike what weddings should feel like. Andrea, who owns Entyse Lyfe is hands-on and is also the Creative Director and Event Expert. Building her business has been a labor of love and she has infused passion into every part of the business down to the way it runs on the back-end. Not only does Andrea ensure that her clients are getting the most out of her creative skills but she also offers her clients value-added services like worry-free transportation using their own full-sized van to transport wedding items to and from the site. That’s because Entyse Lyfe specifically focuses on logistics and efficiency. As Andrea says: “We are event planners…we do what must be done!:”

Andrea’s passion for her work is evident in her creative weddings and events but it also shines through in the way she talks about what she does for a living. Every part of the planning process is well thought out and she has a solid structure which she makes use of to provide only the best service as well as top quality events. A good foundation is especially helpful in the events industry where anything can happen and it does all the time.

"The thing that makes us different, in my opinion, is our commitment to finding the best way to get things done. Wedding and event planning is all about problem-solving. You have to think quickly on your feet to find a solution."

Andrea started working in the event industry in 2009 where she gained experience with R+R Catering in Springfield. She absolutely loved the industry but felt that the position was not right for her as her heart was in planning. After searching for event gigs on Craigslist, she landed her first wedding with a bride who was willing to offer her the chance to build up her portfolio. This was in 2014 and it was the start of Entyse Lyfe Weddings and Events. After completing the wedding, Andrea took the year to study and build her new business. She built the website, designed business cards, and also started marketing and advertising her business.

Starting her business was a huge milestone for Andrea, however, she is most proud of the moments where she was able to face the challenges in her business, turning disasters into something positive.

"Being able to make things happen with missing decor items, vendors running late, and completely unreliable weather makes me proud."

Andrea is consistently adding value to her business through the introduction of new services like their “All Inclusive Vendor Deal”. This allows her clients the peace of mind for their big day without having to source their own vendors and shop around for the best prices. The all-inclusive vendor deal includes two photographers for 8 hours as well as a photo booth for 6 hours; a DJ for both the ceremony and reception; a florist who provides bouquets and boutonnieres; hair and makeup for the bride; as well as save the dates, invites, and RSVP cards for up to 150 guests!

Rose Gold is Andrea's trend obsession for the year. She also loves geometric designs alongside modern wedding décor.
