Reina Moe has put together two wonderful DIY crafts and shared her YouTube tutorials with us and I'm really excited to be sharing them with you. Whether you're putting together a special event or planning on upcycling some old home decor items in order to spruce up your look, these tutorials will have your creative juices flowing.
With jars plus extra vases for the stands, a bit of fabric, pearls, beads, and your choice of bling you'll be ready to create your own upcycled vintage candy jars and hurricane lamps.
So with that said, here's a look at the first project - an upcycled DIY glam candy jar. These beautiful upcycled candy jars make use of items that aren't too expensive and can easily be recreated in any style that you prefer. Of course, each candy jar has its own touch of bling, adding that special bit of glamor to each item.
What I absolutely love about the candy jars that Reina Moe has presented is the timeless vintage look. The lace look is still one of my all-time favorites for weddings and can be a gorgeous design detail that's easily pulled through all of the wedding extras.
As lace is already quite beautiful just as it is, it's easily used in projects without additional items but pairing it with pearls as Reina Moe has done for these candy jars is an excellent way of communicating the vintage look. I love the use of the three different color variations and subtle differences in bling details. These would look great together on a candy table.
Most of us love that touch of sparkle in our projects. In keeping with the vintage theme, the diamante flower brooch, as well as the ornate flower brooch, were used with the pearls and lace to give it that final oomph.
So I'm quite in love with the crackle glass hurricane lamps that Reina Moe has made in the DIY video. the final product is absolutely gorgeous and I love the fact that in each of these videos, as she talks her way through the tutorial, she offers clear instructions and advice on how to get your project looking its best.
The crackle vase is a beautiful touch, as is the glitter in the connecting vase. These two design details really make the project for me and work very well together to communicate the vintage theme. Reina used the elegant round diamante flat back for this project's bit of bling.
I'm a big fan of Reina Moe's DIYs and love watching her videos both for their creativity and for the thorough step by step guidance she gives for each of her projects.
You can catch more of her video on her YouTube channel, as well as connect with her on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Instagram so that you don't miss out on any new DIYs.
